SEO for Adsense
Posted by admin
If you’ve been using Google’s AdSense on your pages you obviously feel the need to somehow generate even more traffic for your website, which in turn would translate to more AdSense click and a higher income.
But who do you do this? Well, the major way you’ll get visitors to see your website (other then using AdWords, which is encouraged as well) is to use some techniques to have search engines send more and more users towards your page, by ranking high in search results for your topics of interest.
Believe it or not this is a technique, better known as search-engine optimization or simply SEO. So here are a bunch of tips that come handy under every amateur or professional optimizer’s belt.
The first thing you need to take care of is the actual source code and layout of your page. This has to be kept as simple as possible. The problem comes when AdSense and the search engines themselves begin to have troubles in extracting the most relevant keywords on your site because of a too complex layout.
Secondly, try to have each one of your pages target only one specific topic. This way it is a lot easier for them to get indexed properly and for the AdSense ads to be consistent with the content of the site itself.
Getting the Most Out of Google Adsense

If you look closely you’ll notice that on almost every single blog out there you’ll see something known as Google Adsense, If your unfamiliar with them and don’t know how they work, its rather quiet simple, you take some code place it in your blog and from there Ads are displayed from thousands of publishers who use Google Adworks and when someone clicks on one of those ads you make money.
If I had to guess I would say that at least 70 to 80 percent of people who use Google Adsense have no real clue how to maximize their profit with them, most people just set up some ads and place them on their site and don’t do anything else, if you are one of these people then you are not making as much as you should be by doing this and I’m going to explain some ways of how you can improve your profit with them.
First I want to point out that every blog will generate different amounts of money by using Google Adsense, this is because the Ads come from people who are paying Google Adwords to display them and some people pay more then others, so a blog about the sky might not pay as much then a blog about technology because the technology sector is much more competitive then the sky and people will pay more to have their ads displayed.

What is Google
AdSense?
“Google AdSense is a fast and easy way for website publishers of all sizes to display relevant Google ads on their website’s content pages and earn money.”
- Google, July 2006
Through some clever java script and coding, Google matches content on sites to related ads. AdSense is a great program that allows webmasters to earn income through ad revenue by doing absolutely nothing but post content. AdSense is actually a really great program for those who maintain blogs, as blogs get updated all the time and the AdSense possibilities are almost limitless.
How to Use Google AdSense
“Google utilizes its search technology to serve ads based on website content, the user’s geographical location, and other factors.”
- Wikipedia, Google AdSense, July 2006
The Balancing Act in Pay Per Click Management
Posted by admin

Effective Pay Per Click Management hinges on several variables that are sometimes out of our control. Since there are so many ingredients involved in formulating that winning combination of keywords, ad copy, landing pages and budgets, the mix often becomes blurry. Our jobs as Pay Per Click Management experts is to sift through muck with extensive A/B Testing to find that recipe for success. But when it comes to budgets and poor website conversion rates - things often get tough.
Scenario 1. After a PPC Campaign is optimized and delivering excellent results, the client - 9 times out of 10 - will want to spend more … which is great! However, sometimes the client is in a niche industry and is only selling 1 product or service. In this case, spending more isn’t an option for growth because in order to spend more (in efforts to make more), the optimization setting on the campaign will have to be undone.
Scenario 2. Some clients have many items for sale on their website - and vast resources of cash to throw at it. However, due to competition, pricing, availability of the item or poor website conversion rates - achieving a favorable ROAS (or ROI) often involve not being able to spend the entire monthly budget. When optimization settings are undone or even altered they risk tanking their ROI (ROAS) stats.
Going Local With Your Pay Per Click Advertising.

Sure the Internet and search engine advertising is a fantastic way to reach thousands, hundreds of thousands or even millions of people with your product or service. From your home town to the far reaches of the world people could be searching for what you do or sell and finding your website through Google, Yahoo or MSN. But if you have a local dental practice, landscaping service or real estate office you probably don’t need to reach that many people or people so far away.
In fact, if you are using some form of pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing you could waste a high percentage of your budget by advertising to people who would be extremely unlikely to come in to your office or use your local service.
Examples of types of businesses who would need to localize their pay per click campaigns would be:
Medical Imaging Centers
Dental Practices
Real Estate Offices
A Local Shoe Store
Local Paving Company or Landscaping Service
Chimney Sweep
Piano Turner
All these types of businesses can do well with Internet Pay Per Click advertising if they make sure to use geographical targeting
With Google and Yahoo Pay Per Click services you can take advantage of geographical targeting in two distinct ways.
One way is to simply put the names of the cities or areas you serve as part of your search terms. When you do this be sure to put these terms in quotes. You’ll also want to make sure you or your search engine promotion company makes a very complete list of the cities and areas you serve including zip codes. When you limit the area you advertise in you also obviously limit your potential clicks. The good news is that you will be getting very targeted visitors. There is no down side to this as long as you use enough terms and location to make sure you get enough visitors to make the advertising worth doing.
What Is Google Adsense For Search?

Google Adsense For Search
Google Adsense for Search is different than Adsense for Content but it is just as important to your earning power with the Google Adsense program.
Just like Adsense for Content places targeted ads on your content pages, Adsense for Search places targeted ads on the results page of the search set in motion on your page.
You can use the standard Google search box on your site and the user can then search the web or even your site. When you feel more comfortable, you can change the look of the Google search box, essentially customizing it by changing the colors and using your logo.
The best thing about Google Adsense for Search is that you can track what your visitors are searching for. That is, if the search has two or more hits. Unique queries will not be tracked. But you can see the top 25 searches performed from your website by clicking on the Advance Report from the Reports tab and specifying a date range.

Google Adsense
You need an Adsense website now! Google’s Adsense program is the most well-known Internet Marketing program today. There are many ebooks and internet marketers out there with an Adsense website , but there are also lots of scams; people who claim to know how to make money using Google Adsense, but who never provide any proof. Some Internet Marketers do make lots of money using with their adsense websites. The Majority of these are Entrepreneurs who run their own businesses from home.
Below are the main points to know about Google Adsense.
What Google Adsense is:
- An advertising program that can make money for you thorough advertising on your adsense website.
- Text ads are placed on your adsense website using a code supplied to you by Google.
- You receive payment by Google every time someone clicks on one of the ads on your site.
Google also has a feature allowing you to put a Google search box on your adsense website. When someone uses this box to search the web, ads are also displayed on the search results pages. Google will pay you for clicks on these ads as well.
Google Adsense Best Practices

When selecting the size of your Google Adsense code the 300×250 is by far the best performer. This square box works best when placed in the middle of the content towards the top. I commonly place the 300×250 ad block under my title and on top of my first paragraph. Sometimes I put the 300×250 ad block under the first paragraph if it is short but never below the second paragraph. Banners and skyscrapers may look better on your page but will perform much worse than the 300×250. Remember why you’re publishing your content; you want to make money not look pretty.
When selecting colors for your Google Adsense ad block you want to blend the ad into your page. The best practice is to make the ads look like content so users will be interested in clicking the ad. I’ve had great success using a basic white background and black color text on my pages. I then use the default blue for my Adsense text and use “White” for the border of the ad block. This causes your square to look like it has no border thus blending it into your content. If done right your Google Adsense block should look like you put links on your page your visitors might be interested in.
